ATOMIC Terms & Conditions
Please read all policies carefully before booking. By submitting a booking request, paying a deposit, or receiving tattoo services at Atomic Tattoo, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following terms and conditions.
BOOKING & APPOINTMENTS
- A deposit is required to secure an appointment unless otherwise stated by the artist.
- Your appointment is not considered booked until the required deposit has been received.
- Deposits are applied toward the final cost of the tattoo.
- Please arrive on time and prepared for your appointment.
- A 15-minute grace period is allowed for lateness. Arriving more than 15 minutes late may result in cancellation of the appointment and forfeiture of the deposit.
- Please notify the artist as soon as possible if you are running late.
- The artist reserves the right to refuse or reschedule an appointment if a client arrives excessively late, unprepared, intoxicated, or otherwise unable to safely receive a tattoo.
DEPOSIT POLICY
- Standard deposits are $50, unless otherwise specified.
- Half sleeves, full sleeves, and larger/original custom designs require a $100 deposit.
- All deposits are non-refundable.
- Deposits go toward the final tattoo balance.
- Deposits are forfeited in the event of:
• No-shows
• Rescheduling
• Arriving more than 15 minutes late
• Major design changes after the deposit has been submitted
• Failure to follow booking requirements
- A new deposit is required to schedule a new appointment after a deposit has been forfeited.
- Original designs will not be drawn or prepared until the required deposit has been received.
- Deposits are not transferable to another person or appointment unless approved by the artist.
REFERENCE & DESIGN REQUIREMENTS
- Reference images must be clear, stencil-style designs or artwork whenever possible.
- Photos of tattoos on another person’s skin will not be accepted as the sole reference.
- Please provide artwork, drawings, or reference images that clearly communicate what you want.
- All major design changes must be discussed and finalized before submitting a deposit.
- Once a deposit has been paid and the design process has begun, major changes may require an additional deposit or may result in the original deposit being forfeited.
- The artist reserves the right to make reasonable adjustments to a design so that it tattoos properly and ages well.
- The artist may refuse designs that are outside their preferred style, skill set, or professional boundaries.
CUSTOM & ORIGINAL DESIGNS
- Custom designs require a deposit before the artist begins drawing.
- Custom artwork remains the intellectual property of the artist unless otherwise agreed upon.
- Clients may not reproduce, sell, distribute, or give the artist’s original design to another tattoo artist without permission.
- Minor adjustments may be made to ensure the design works appropriately for the placement and size requested.
- Original artwork will not be provided without a tattoo appointment unless otherwise agreed upon.
PRICING & PAYMENT
- Tattoos are priced by the piece or at an hourly rate depending on the artist.
- Estimates provided before the appointment are estimates only and are not guaranteed final prices.
- Actual pricing may vary depending on size, detail, placement, skin, time required, and changes made during the appointment.
- When an hourly rate is used, the tattoo timer will only be stopped at the artist’s discretion. Any breaks initiated by the artist will pause the timer.
- Breaks requested by the client may continue to count toward tattoo time unless otherwise agreed upon.
- Accepted payment methods:
• Cash
• Cash App
• Zelle
• Venmo
• Physical card
- If paying by card, please have a backup payment method available in case the card reader or payment system is unavailable.
- Apple Cash, PayPal, and pay-later/financing options are not accepted.
- The remaining balance is due in full at the end of the appointment.
CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING
- Cancellations and rescheduling result in deposit forfeiture unless the artist makes an exception.
- If you need to reschedule, please contact the artist as early as possible.
- A new deposit may be required to book another appointment.
- Repeated cancellations, rescheduling, or no-shows may result in the artist declining future bookings.
- No-shows will not be rebooked without a new deposit and may be refused future appointments at the artist’s discretion.
TATTOO DAY POLICIES
Clients agree to:
- Arrive clean and appropriately prepared for their appointment.
- Wear clothing that provides easy access to the tattoo area.
- Avoid wearing clothing or jewelry that interferes with the tattoo process.
- Follow all instructions given by the artist.
- Not touch the stencil, tattoo, needles, equipment, or work area.
- Remain as still as reasonably possible while being tattooed.
- Inform the artist immediately if they feel faint, sick, uncomfortable, or need a break.
- Not smoke or vape inside the building.
- Avoid excessive alcohol or drug use before or during the appointment.
- The artist may refuse to tattoo anyone who appears intoxicated or otherwise unable to safely participate in the appointment.
CLOTHING & JEWELRY
- Jewelry, clothing, or other personal items may need to be removed or adjusted if they interfere with the tattoo.
- Clients are responsible for wearing appropriate clothing that allows access to the tattoo area while maintaining their comfort and privacy.
- The artist will never intentionally expose areas that are not necessary for the tattoo.
AFTERCARE
- Aftercare instructions will be provided at the end of the appointment.
- Clients are responsible for properly caring for their tattoo after leaving the studio.
- Healing results can vary depending on individual skin, placement, lifestyle, and aftercare.
- The artist cannot guarantee how a tattoo will heal.
- Failure to follow aftercare instructions may affect the final appearance of the tattoo.
TOUCH-UPS
- One free touch-up may be provided after the tattoo has completely healed if needed, at the artist’s discretion.
- Touch-ups must be scheduled after the tattoo has fully healed.
- Additional touch-ups may be subject to a fee.
- Free touch-ups do not cover damage caused by improper aftercare, picking, scratching, sun exposure, or other client-related circumstances.
REFUNDS
- Tattoo services and completed work are non-refundable.
- Deposits are non-refundable and may be forfeited according to the policies above.
- Dissatisfaction with a tattoo does not automatically qualify for a refund.
- Concerns regarding a tattoo should be communicated to the artist as soon as possible so they can be addressed appropriately.
BOOKING COURTESY
- This is not a shop-around-for-quotes service.
- Please do not request a quote from the artist and then use that quote to negotiate with or compare against other artists.
- If you are unsure whether the artist is the right fit for your tattoo, you are welcome to ask questions before booking.
- Respect the artist’s time, schedule, and creative process.
- The artist reserves the right to decline a booking request at any time.
ARTIST RIGHTS
The artist reserves the right to:
- Refuse or cancel an appointment when necessary.
- Decline a design that they are uncomfortable tattooing.
- Modify a design when necessary for proper tattoo application.
- Refuse to tattoo a client who is intoxicated, abusive, disrespectful, or otherwise unsafe.
- Require additional deposits for extensive custom work.
- Refuse future appointments to clients who repeatedly violate booking policies.
